Ethan Bailey was born with thrombocytopenia with absent radius. I followed him around the San Diego State University campus as part of a larger project exploring the Americans with Disabilities Act.

I worked with a team of two other Chips Quinn Scholars to shoot and edit a story about the Foggy Bottom Canoe Rental business in Kingston Springs, Tenn. We had trouble finding usable nat sound, but lucked out in that the owner was skilled on the banjo.

I shot and edited pieces of a Father’s Day demolition derby to supplement a fellow reporter’s text story while interning at The Bulletin in Bend, Ore.
